I know there's at least 1 BA A/C flying with the new new new Club World seats and the new IFE as I read a TR on A.net.

Does anyone know the timescale for the refit of their long-haul 767s?

I believe that CW was only recently implemented fully into the long-haul 767s, but I stand to be corrected.

I can give you an update on LGW 777s in 2 weeks but my guess is that these haven't been done yet.

I'm pretty sure from what I've read that the 767s are not getting the N^4CW. It looks like they're reaching the end of their terms with BA.

BA are meant to be looking at and evaluating fleet replacements for the future, so who knows what might happen...

If so I hope they replace the 767s with 787s, that way EWR will get them! :D

They certainley are. Willie Walsh has been quoted to saying that the A380 is a good option for BA on some of their routes.

Expect an order for new widebodies once the pensions crisis is sorted out. I think some of their earlier 744s are up for disposal soon.

Right now only one 744 is fitted with the new seats, another is in the shop being fitted as I type.

the 767's will probably be the last to be fitted if only due to the fact that the just got the old-new club seats.

Are the a/c being taken out of service just for the refit or they being done as they come up for their checks etc?

That I have no idea about, I know they are working through the "flaw's" on the one aircraft first so that any problems can be sorted before fleet wide refits.I would think that they would wait till a C or D check was called for as the refit will take a little while to do, so may as well do it while the aircraft is in the hanger anyways. Of course this being an airline common sense is not a 100% guarantee.

I also for some reason seem to remember that there is some type of approval they are waiting for, but that could be on something else entirely [:I]

So far only one aircraft is in service and it is going all over the place. So far it has flown to LAX, GRU, HKG & IAD at least once. Read into that what you like...

A CSD on the BA Flyertalk forum has said that by the end of the month several more aircraft should have been converted:
http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/showpost ... tcount=162

Of those I believe three (IVS, NLK, IVX) are 747s and the others are 767s. It was announced that the 767s weren't going to be converted so either a change of heart has occurred on that front or these are aircraft being fitted with AVOD.

was pleased to see the premium champagne was out in force again, well almost.... a 1995 Charles Heidsieck Blancs des Millenaires was chilling in the bar area beside its inferior ugly stepbrother, the Monopole Blue Top! No prizes for guessing which one I went for

Fantastic report as always,

Is the IFE that we see pics of in that report also going to be put into WT, WTP and First as the planes get refitted?
Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for straightening that out for the uninitiated, alas I remember the posts when it came up on Flyertalk.

When using the ugly stepbrother term it was more to do with the fact they were both champagnes, one far more superior than the other, rather than the fact they were from the same house :)
