And that is even with me being on a watch list (if you don't know what I mean have search and it will become clear)

No problems with BA OLCI, even chose my seat which was "allocate at check-in" and printed my boarding pass.

Hmm, let me think about the last time I was able to use OLCI with Virgin - Oh yeah that's right - NEVER!

Good start BA let's hope you keep it up throughout the flight. Shame I already know the limited choice of films on the flight. At least you have that in common with VS, No AVOD from LGW.

Be aware that if you OLCI and print your boarding pass coming back from the US you'll still need to go to the check-in desk, even if you have carry-on only.

Paul, would be very interested to hear how you get on at the aiports both sides!! On my last trip to SFO with VS on using OLCI, I got the error "sorry unable to process at this time, please proceed to check in as normal". On arrival they took my passport away and made a phone call, seemed OK gave me my tkts etc and nothing else was said. No problems on arrival either, internal to LAS and again my passport was taken away the phone call made, then the check-in guy said "OK your legal!!, at this point I asked the question (already read your problems) and was told yes that my name was on a list and that they have to call for clearance on every flight within the US!! This has only happened recently as I flew to JFK in December with no problems.

Once your passport had been phone checked on the 1st occasion you would expect to be scrubbed off the list...[:?]

To allow you to travel, the authorities must be comfortable that your not the other Neil Hyde on the watch list.

So why do you need to be checked on your following journeys...???? It would test my patience some what.....[n][n]

It wasn't too bad on this trip as in all sectors the check in lines were empty and there was no real hassle, if this continues on every flight to the US in the future I am going to have seek more specialist advise (maybe completing the TSA form, from there website to verify identity). Its very annoying but I see why they have to be cautious, but as you say once I have been through this phone call verification process (4 occasions on last trip) I would be good to go without problems!![:#]

Well I have arrived in MCO and my pre-printed boarding pass was fine all the way - Didn't bother with the fast bag drop as I was travelling Club so 'checked in' at the club desk. Told them and showed them I had checked in online so they took my bags (or rather some porters did as the belts were broken) and left me with my pre-printed boarding cards.

No phone call to check my passport of anything, just confirmation that all was OK and point in the direction of the Fast Track.

On arrival at MCO the bags had been split up which gave us a delay which was made worse by them being split up a second time when we gave them up to go onto the second conveyor belt (those who have been to MCO will know what I mean).

BA Rep with my name on at Belt 27 who gave me a welcome pack as I had booked these flights (very cheaply I might add) as part the of the BA Holidays closing down sale.

So the end point is that OLCI with BA worked for me.
