I don't know about wifi -- I imagine there are pay-as-you-go hotspots.

For food, I would head to Plane Food (Gordon Ramsay). It is not amazing but it is more than OK.

as far as i know there is pay as you go wifi in T5 in places throughout the terminal

i cant comment on food as whenever i fly from T5 it is always early morning.
as at240 says i have heard good reviews for plane food and also for giraffe.

Can certainly recommend Giraffe, although we use it as a family option, so may depend on your perspective...

Another vote for Giraffe too - they serve pretty quickly too and have a great view of the gates - but then again you can get that virtually anywhere in T5.

Wifi is via a boingo portal which gives you access to all the usual suspects.

No free access that I could find but access through BT openzone gave a reasonably stable connection.

I always pop to Plane Food, and they do nice picnics if you want something to eat on the plane.
