Hi.
Does anyone know, please, if the BA lounge (CW) at LGW has any hot food for breakfast - like a bacon roll for instance. I have read conflicting reports about this. I do know not to expect anything half way as brilliant as the CH.
Thank You.

From what I recall it is only the CW BA lounge at LHR that has the bacon rolls - LGW CW only does the cold breaskfast buffet selection and champagne (on request only).

Thank you I would really appreciate that . We don't want to stop en route for breakfast if it is provided in the lounge .

The BA Galleries or whatever it still is at LGW is dire, if you want a nice breakfast in pleasant surroundings, I'd eat before arriving ... you can at least make toast (hot)!

But remember that there are GREAT breakfast, cooked to order, in the No 1 lounges at both Gatwick North and South

No, I don't work for No 1, but think that they're the best thing that's not the Clubhouse....

Agreed that the BA lounge is pretty dire at LGW.

They have cold toast and some other cold options like fruit and muesli from memory but that is it really unless you want to eat twiggies or kettle crisps for breakfast.

They may give you champagne though, but you'll have to ask nicely, it's not put out!

In there a couple of weeks ago at breakfast time and as well as the toast there was a tureen of beans. The other hot option was porridge, which with honey and some fruit was very moreish and more than enough for a pre boarding meal.

The other items are standard fare, e.g. cereals, croissants/pastries, fruit, youghurt, etc.

No issue getting champagne but only to order from one of the waiters.

It's OK but if you want the full English you will need to go somewhere else. I wouldn't pay for the No 1 lounge especially (but if you have Priority Pass that gets you in), they seem to have a real problem keeping the tables clear in there. I'd eat in the main area and then retire to the BA lounge to wait if you still have time.

Well I'm currently in the lounge. It definitely ain't the T5 BA lounge! Although on the plus side I could easily find a seat, which was something I struggled with at LHR
