So the first routes for the A380 have now been announced.

Special fares of £3800 for two in Club World to LAX and HKG. Now bookable. (£1900 for one)

Decent fares. Looks like a nice interior too.

Can't wait to try out the enhanced F cabin.

I still have a good few Avios left from the new card I took out, plus heading towards the 241 voucher.

Think this may be a 'fun' flight in First, though just having read a TR on Singapores 'suites' I am now drooling

Isn't that going to be cramped on the UD?

The UD is just as wide as a b777 cabin (well near enough). But as the walls will curve in more, a seat has been removed.
So I cant imagine it being any more cramped than on a 777.

I was just comparing it to the (staggered) 1-2-1 on EK and 2-2-2 on QF

I see what you mean but at any point there are only four across. I presume BA could deliver some equally crafty way of managing the 2-3-2 mentioned.

Count the heads in a row on UD and you will get 3 or 4 :P

Width wise, EK have 6 across(AB-DEFG-JK) though I see what you mean by less camped as you aren't exactly next to someone unless in the middle pairs (EF).

The problem with Club is they get so many in by getting you walk over someone's legs when they are asleep...

I would feel especially claustrophobic in those single seats in the middle. Trapped in from both sides and with 2 people staring at you at take off and landing.

Given the opportunity to introduce a new product on a new aircraft it baffles me why they didn't, especially considering most airlines now offer all-aisle access in their newest business class. Perhaps a business class product such as Cathay/American would encroach on First too much?

I also think they should of thought of something new, as downstairs could look just like the 777's, a flying dorm at times.

When the seat map was released, some said how awful the middle seat of the 3 would be, other said how lovely and private (after take off) or how great for 2 parents and a child.
