Apparently a worker accidently shut down the power supply and that caused all the resulting problems.

Which begs the question why was the system configured using single plug / button / switch to turn it on and off!

A Server would have 2x power supplies for redundancy. These are hot swappable. The load is split, but if one blows the other can comfortably run the server.
Its quite possible one blew & the silly engineer pulled the wrong PSU out. No amount of configuration is foolproof as proven by the fool who shut everything down!

Looks like they are now admitting liability for Eu claims, have extended many silver and gold terms by 2 years and have posted tier points and miles for the cancelled flights.

Good recovery BA

I think their software is still having problems. Saw a CW fare on Friday, to either Boston or NY, for £105. Yes, you read that right! A quick look showed it was beyond the 355 days you can book, so not actually true! Last night, there was a CW return to Phoenix for next May, allegedly for £1544 return, but again, showed for just one day in May, and it wasn't return, just one way!!!!

I'd have snapped up th £105 though!
