The ticking down of the clock has finally hit the golden hour and we are sitting on the terrace in the CCR.

Breakfast ordered, treatment to look forward to and some fizz after food.

Let’s hope our first First lives up to expectations!

Well you finally made it. I had read the report on HFP and he was not that impressed with it. So do tell what its like seating atmosphere etc? We still have 7 months to go for our visit.

Have a lovely time in Boston, we have just got enough Virgin miles left for a visit in UC so pondering whether to go or not. I suspect it will be quite cool there now weather wise. I do not do cold very well sitting here at the moment wrapped up and with the heating on full. Linda

Well I think it’s perfectly lovely. Fairly empty, very spacious and friendly staff.

Breakfast was delicious and we’ve just ordered our first Fizz. We’ve moved from the terrace to inside and must say the seats are very comfy and all feels relaxed. It is no clubhouse but feels more gentle and relaxed- if that makes sense. I’ve just had a wonderful facial whilst reclined in a vigorous massage chair - make sure you ring at T29 to book as it was very busy.

I’ve been reading H4P and FT and wasn’t expecting much but it gets full marks from me.

The First Wing was very quick and efficient- took all of 2 minutes and most of that was putting my boots back on!

Tried to upload a photo but I can’t work out how to reduce the size on iPhone.

Edit - found a plug socket (they are in short supply) and am now on the Mac!

Looks perfectly fine to me. Could you please leave a note at the desk asking them to let me in Monday morning. OK, I'll be at the back of the bus on BA but I won't make a nuisance of myself :)

Thanks for posting the pics, never been inside there myself so was suitably impressed and am suitably jealous .... hope you thoroughly enjoyed the flight too!
