Being reported on a.net and pprune that BD have defered there order for additional 330 a/c until at least 2009. BD are saying that they want to concentrate on the new B|MED routes rather than the US for the time being.

This of course means that there will be no LHR-USA BD operation until 2009. Question is have they made the right decision?

Not a bad idea in fact, let the big boys come in and slaughter each other, let things settle down some then carve out a market for yourselves.

Which in BD's case I fear it may be too late!

It's pretty smart actually. They're in a good position with all those slots at LHR and want to focus on getting the new portfolio right with no distractions.

If they can make their new PE cabin pay I think they've got a world beater and have ordered a new bmi credit card just incase!!

They really want to concentrate first on the BMED routes as BMi arent well known on those destinations which is a good thing to be honest.
