DC mileage - online shopping

Has anyone successfully gained the alledged miles through accessing online shopping in the DC pages [?]

Looking at purchase through John lewis, can double whammy with VS card and DC points through the site..

I have, but it took about 3 months before the miles were credited

It does make you wonder what they do with it over this time, considering the whole process is electronic??
