I was looking at the BMI forum on FT whilst pondering what to do with my rump of Diamond Club miles, pleased to learn that from 3 July BA is introducing a tool to transfer them to Avios at the rate of 1:1. The FT thread is here (lots of stuff).

So mark the date if you don't know what to do with yours!

You can also now get a BAEC status match if you have Ag or Au status with BMI (also includes existing BAEC accounts) here

Applied to have my blue BAEC account upgraded to Ag the other week.

It's been available from earlier today, by all accounts.

Yup - all live, and working

Live, working and just eaten all my miles! I now have no BMI Destinations Miles and no Avios miles. Marvellous. Time for a dull 'phone call to whoever runs things nowadays...

Pretty poor show from BA. Spent 40 minutes on hold yesterday only to be told that they had "technical problems" and "a backlog". As an 'amuse bouche' to BAEC, it's leaving rather a bad taste...
