In all the years that we have been coming to Florida, and believe me there are a lot of them we had never stayed at Sea World after dark until yesterday.
As a birthday present for Scott I booked the Shamu Rocks dinner buffet and reserved seating for the show. We booked the early showing definately recommended in preference to the later one.
The buffet started at 6.45 and people were queing before 6.15. At first we were worried that we wouldn't get to see any of the whales, but it turned out to be no problem at all as all the seats had excellent views of the pool and we were entertained throughout our stay by 3 very playful whales. The girls were in awe and Scott was very impressed as was I [:D]
We were a little unsure what the food would be like, but there was a huge choice available that would cater for most people's tastes. There were plenty of starters of soup and salads, and the main courses I remeber included beef, turkey and a veg option with lots of vegetable side dishes on offer. The desserts were amazing with at least 10 different choices of cake available. Sorry there isn't more detail, i was too busy with the camera [8D]
It wasn't long before the camera had to go away and we were being escorted to our reserved seating, which was directly in the centre of the stadium with fantastic views. As for the show.....I can't believe that we had missed out on such a fantastically brilliant experience before. It far exceeded any expectations that I had and I can't wait to go back again. My hands were sore from clapping and myself and the 3 girls girls are sounding a little hoarse this morning from all the shouting and cheering we did. Just to say again it was BRILLIANT [^]
Afterwards we went to see the Bayside ski jam and hung around for the fireworks, both of which are also fab.
It was a very late night for the girls, especially Jess, who is 3 (she fell asleep just as the fireworks finished)but we are all in agreement that the experence has to be repeated as we had such a goodtime.
If no-one has been yet, and i'm sure that there aren't many of you [;)]please, please go as it is show not to be missed.
