Sadly, the bucket checker is offline again. Apologies for that.

In the meantime I recommend the excellent standalone application written by smile67 from the FlyerTalk boards.

I know this is a silly question, but what exactly is the Bucket Checker tool? What did it do?

The bucket checker was / is a very useful tool that allowed users to see how many seats were available for each class of ticket on a flight.

It was used in lots of circumstances for example, seeing if a flight was close to being oversold in order to judge the chances of upgrades / bumps.

It can alos be used to find which flight is likely to have spare seats etc.
