Last visit time bug

Has anyone else noticed that the "last visit time" has started updating much more quickly than it use to? Mine changes almost every minute. It use to update everytime you visited the site in a new session, now it's everytime you use Active Topics.

Not sure if this is a bug or the feature has started running faster.

I noticed that this morning and wasn't sure if it was something new. I always have it set to show the last hour anyways so it apart from first thing it doesn't bother me.

That's not the point Neil.[:p] What if Microsoft went "you only have to reboot once a day. Stop moaning....."? Oh, wait a minute.... [:w][}:)]

PS. Also getting random logouts too. Pete?

Seems to be a server problem. I've raised it as an issue with the ISP, but I'm not holding out much hope that they will fix it, as I had very little confidence they knew what could be causing it. [:(]

Been getting more or less the same thing for the past few days. Or, when eventually able to log in, get advised that there are no active posts since my last visit when there clearly have been [:(!]

Are you using the 'remember me' feature (assuming you're not on a shared computer)?

I wondered if something was wrong too
I have tried to reply twice to a private message and each time the site has been unavailable and I am unable to find out if the message has been sent (i dont want to resend incase the people think i am a stalker and they got the last two messages) it usually says message sent so........... is this anything to do with what you guys are discussing or am i barking (mad or up the wrong tree???)

cheers

Me too - I accendentally sent the same PM 3 times to someone because it kept on erroring on me. Plus randomly during the day it'll forget who I am and I have to re-login again. Sometimes the last visit time switches to only a few minutes ago.

The ISP are telling me they think they may have found - and fixed - the particular bug that was causing this. Please let me know if you are all still having problems.

Pete. It's looking good so far this morning. Will keep testing though. [^]

Any idea on the cause (geek mode on)?

Seems sorted here too, back to normal. Thanks Pete (and the ISP people!)

still looks OK, but the time is out now. Looks like the server is on BST already.

Yup, it's those damn American's not sticking to the British way again ;)

The server is hosted in Florida, so the time shown on here is an offset of that, and twice a year we tend to fall out of line for a week or so.

Fair enough. Only a 3 weeks to go. Hopefully it will save some confusion elsewhere. :D
