Are these causing a headache atm? I subscribed to the Pam Ann thread in Social and have since had about five notifications of replies to it, but none of those people have posted a reply.

Yes Mat, they are a bit squiffy at the moment - I think the notification system when off to vegas with the others and has not sobered up yet. I have stopped using notification for the moment - I am sure Pix will get to it, but he is a busy guy and there are prob more pressing site issues at the moment.

Ever since the move of the database to MS SQL, the whole subscription thing has been a bit wierd. I can't recommend using it until further notice.

For ref - as the topic subscription service isn't working as it should at the moment, I've turned it off in all fora.

Cheers

Any chance this is going to be 'turned on' again as i sis find it most useful? Thanks

Probably not, as we never could get to the bottom of what was actually causing it. In theory, everything I've looked at suggests it should work fine; but it was throwing out random emails, so nigh-on impossible to solve without a lot more time (which is a rare resource at the moment)

No worries. Thanks for explaining.

Any chance of revisiting the topic subscription option? I'd find it very useful; though its a good excuse to come back to the forum to check whether any posts have been updated (and then look at some more!) ;o)
