What about having a section on the website for pictures of the aircraft interiors? ie the different set up for each type of aircraft and also the different classes. I don't know hard it would be to get permission to use the pictures from sites like airliners.net, but i think would be a good addition to the site.

As cabin interiors are replaced be good to keep as an archive of how things used to be.

That's not a bad idea, although maybe it would be easy enough (given the number of regular Virgin flyers here) to build our own original library of shots rather than get into permissions issue with other sites.

Don't forget to pack your digital cameras in your hand luggage, and we'll see if there's enough interest in a photo library section :)

That should be easy enough, hope enough would be interested i think it would be a great addition to the site.

Also to add interior shots of the clubhouses.

Yes, I think that this is a great idea! It will give people a look at what the different cabins are like on Virgin, and what the seats look like with different entertainment screens.

I also hope that enough interest is expressed!

Thanks

Excuse my complete ignorance on this, as I have never tried to take a picture of an aircraft interior, but will VS let you take pictures? I used to work for a retail company whose policy was to confiscate the film (yes a long time ago) of anyone attempting to take pictures of the inside of stores for security reasons.

JonBuck,
I'm not sure if it is allowed, but on A.net and many other sites, there are loads of pictures of VS interiors. I think they should let you. I have seen people before, and the cabin crew have been near them and semm happy still:D
I am not sure for certain though.

Hi guys
I must admit im not sure whether or not there is a policy about letting passengers take pictures onboard. But to be honest on all my UC flights ive always seen people taking plenty of photos, and even seen cabin crew taking them for people. I'd certainly like to see a section on the site for photos, so i'll now pack my digi camera for my forthcoming LAX trip!

Again have never had a problem with photographing aircraft interiors. At JFK one man did get asked to stop filming the loading of the VS04 but his film wasnt confiscated nor was I asked to stop taking photographs through the window.

And :D for the photo album thingy, too!

All I would say is ask first - I checked with the LHR Clubhouse supervisor the other day.

Shame I'm useless with a camera and the physics - pictures too dark. Will take some better pictures when I go thru again in the next month during the day.

Thanks,
Richard

I have a good picture of G-VROS taken at MCO on 19/05/2002
Where would I upload or post to?

I should have also said that I have video taken in the Club Orlando upper section on MAN-MCO 26/11/1999 and downstairs UC seats used as PE on 29/11/03 LGW-MCO
I could make them AVI or some other format for uploading as well is there was any interest? :)
