We flew with America West from Las Vegas to New York. The check-in was confusing, and although the staff tried to help, we felt that they were not trained well enough to do the task of checking in , and as a result the seats allocated for a party of four were not suitable. We tried to get the seats re-allocated but unfortunately we were told they could only be changed at the gate. My husband then had to pass through security control to reach the America West Customer Service Desk who were brilliant and changed the seats immediateley and then he had to pass back through security to join us at the main lounge.
Boarding was excellent and the plane took off bang on schedule. We have flown America West before and we find them an excellent airline. A wonderful flight with helpful and friendly Cabin Crew and despite problems with Check-in , we would recommend flying America West to all V-Flyers.
