After finishing the conference in Sevilla, I had to get back to Malaga for the return flight. The travel options to Sevilla aren't great by flight and therefore it seemed as easy to go to Malaga. The return was relatively straight forward - a very modern air-conditioned train through the countryside, arriving early into central Malaga. There was then a short wait for the local train to the airport. All in all the journey was easy and only cost 19Euros.

At the airport, check-in was relatively straight forward and a paper carbon copy invitation to the lounge was issued. Through security (forgot to take out laptop as not asked to do on outbound journey - should have known better!!). Then wandered to tax free shopping - hassled by some very keen individuals trying to get people to sign up for an Easyjet credit card (as if!!).

Then back to the lounge - nothing to write home about really. Self-service alcohol and some nibbles. Flight called and again hassled on the way out by the Easyjet people for a credit card (still NO!). A big queue at the gate and then trying to get on the plane. Flight full (as on the way out) in both Club Europe and EuroTraveller. Seemed to wait for ages on the ground - with the door shut and nothing happening (no air-conditioning). Then a passenger from EuroTraveller came up and asked to use the toilet (after the pilot said we were about to leave). He then had a long chat with the purser and explained that he had bad diarrhoea and had been feeling really rough all day. Rather surprisingly rather than off loading him, they offered him the choice to stay....and he spent ages thinking about it and then said that he would risk flying. They didn't clean the toilet which was surprising as it wasn't clear if he had infective diarrhoea.

Flight was nothing special - hot food option was chicken pasta dish and the cold option salmon salad. Several bottles of champagne consumed on the flight. The only things I would comment:

1. The staff were rather abrupt with everyone - not as nice as the outbound LGW crew

2. There was a screaming toddler in club who screamed for nearly the whole flight, and when they weren't they were crawling around the cabin. Now I know that you can't help if a toddler / baby doesn't tolerate flying, but the parents seemed to just let it scream and also didn't seem to stop it getting in the way of crew.

Arrived at T5 early! Security was empty and also the baggage reclaim. Despite this, it took absolutely ages for the bags to turn up. As usual the priority tagging seemed to ensure that all the other bags came off first!! Through customs and was hoping to grab something in the arrivals shop.....but it was all shut up unfortunately.

All in all not too bad a flight and interesting to see the arrivals side of T5.
