Hi V-Flyers.
When travelling in the UK or Europe, I find my USB 3G stick invaluable with my laptop as it's a lot better value for money than most of the hotel WiFi deals. 10 a month beats the hell out of 10 per night[;)]
However the roaming data charges make this an impractical solution in the US.
I'm wondering what peoples experiences are in the USA - I'm shortly going to be travelling from Washington to NYC then on to Boston, staying at 2 Westin and 1 Hyatt hotel, none of which seem to provide inclusive Internet access.
What I did last time I was on a 3 week trip Stateside was was sign up with T-Mobile hotspot over there on a monthly subscription, which gave me unlimited WiFi access for US$30 - about 15 at the time and then cancelled it after the 1st month. They took the second month off my card in error, but did refund it on request.
Anyone got a better USA roaming data strategy?
Cheers
