Would you please help with a technical problem I am having. Our new apartment has poor radio reception, so I brought an Acer net-book and use the internet for listening to the radio.

I can pick up BBC radio stations without any problem using Real Player; however I encounter problems when listening to a local station that uses Windows Media Player. At first, the reception is fine but after 5 minutes I start to get brief breaks (no sound) which increases to much larger breaks after say 10 minutes. In short it is impossible to listen to the radio with these breaks.

Clearly its not the connection as Real Player doesnt encounter these problems. I am also aware it is something to do with a temp file or cache but dont know how to make the required adjustments. I have used disc cleaner and defrag but they have not made any improvements can you please help.

The net-book uses Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 and Windows Media Player 11.

Thanks

Jeremy
