As Dragonbaby has borrowed(and now can't find) my Bose in ear headphones I bought a pair of these testerday (as the QC2s are too big to put in my handbag and the apple phones cause me agony).I've opened them up tonight and discovered that the leftlead (with the bud on the end) is less than half the length of the right lead. Is this normal? They work OK but it looks really odd (and may cause a problem as the left lead is only about 7 inches long)
I bought them in the Apple store in Birmingham and we have no store locally.

We have a pair of these, and yes the left lead is much shorter. It is styled like this, and you are meant to put the right lead round the back of your head, and in your ear that way.

Yes, it's quite normal to have one cord longer than the other. No idea why and I suspect it's one of those things we're not suppose to know...
