As usual this has nothing to do with travel tech, but I am looking for a piece of software that I can run a movie file through to lighten it, for some reason friends decided to video their wedding, with next to no lighting.

Also as usual, free would be good [:D]

Try windows movie maker - it's free from Windows Live.

As far as I can see movie maker cannot change the brightness of the movie, or am I missing it ?

Let me have a play with virtualdub.

Thank you both for your replies.
