Hi folks,

Travelling with an ipad for the first time in a couple of weeks ... Stupid question (probably) but what's the procedure through security with them?

is it like a laptop, out of bag and sleeve and through the xray machine on its own or ...different?

Thanks

It's just treated like a lap-top (ie has to go through the x-ray on it's own).

I always just leave my iPad in the same holder as my MacBook and send them both through together but for the first time ever, on travelling through LGW on a domestic flight last month, I was asked to put them through individually.

My laptop is in a neoprene sleve and have had no problems with it but they do like it in a tray of its own.

Ditto - never taken or being asked to take my iPad out of my hand luggage when going through security.
