I have an unlocked IPhone and with 2 US trips coming in June and July I have been looking at options to swap in a prepaid SIM, ideally with data. Any of you seasoned travellers and data junkies experienced in these matters?

What a co-incidence, I also have two trips in June/July and am also looking for such a SIM.

Having done a bit of googling it would appear it is not a simple problem to solve. Lot of people posting stuff on forums and many linking to the following

At the end of this thread there is some details of how people have bought Sims from eBay and got them to work

The alternative is to buy a regular SIM and a SIM cutter from eBay. I bought one recently to fit my existing SIM into my iPhone. The cutter somes with a sheath so I can convert the Micro into a 'normal' sized SIM if I need to put it back in my old phone.

I think that seems like the best plan Highflyer - the Red Pocket Sims look promising
