Has anyone had experience of buying these at LHR? I have a new digital camera and want to buy a 512MB or 1GB memory card stick and I'm wondering whether it's worthwhile getting one at the airport or maybe even at a store in the States.

Thanks.

Phil

Hi, Phil:
Depending upon where you will be here in the States, there are many options for purchasing memory sticks.

Take a look at http://www.crucial.com/uk - I seem to recall a 5% discount code for them floating around on http://www.hotukdeals.com too.

Thanks,
Richard

Try http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/acatalog/ms.html

They always seem cheap to me.

If you register for email updates they sometimes do a free postage weekend.

Alan, I went onto the website you posted and ordered a 512MB stick for quite a saving, so thank you very much for that and to each of you for replying. I may just have a look around the shops in San Diego and see what their prices are like on another 512MB. I love bargain hunting on holiday[8D]

Thanks again. Got to love this site for wide ranging info you get.

Phil,
I buy mine at Best Buy. Here is a location close to downtown San Diego.

BTW when in California don't hesitate to PM me if you have a question or need some restaurant recommendations. Travel safely.
