No she is coming back at some point. Off the top of my head I think she is coming back next year. However, the situation seems to be rather fluid and no official line has come out of VS, in fact they haven't even really stated she has left. All the hints are she is coming back though.

Welcome to V-F though.

please don't type your posts ALL IN CAPITALS

it is considered to be rude and puts a lot of people off from reading even a short post.

Hi

I amm new today too just signed up and asked the same question, The A330's will only replace few 747-400 slots mainly the Leisure ones.. like MAN-MCO and some of the Caribbean stuff.. Though my understanding is that the 747-400 will still fly most of Virgin's Gatwick routes still for many years to come..

I travel to Las Vegas twice a year on VS043 its a 747-400 though wouldn't like to be stuck on a A330 for 11 hours haha.. As for G-VROM she seems to be on a sub-lease though dunno why they are saying she will be back Next year as it was only an 18 month Lease.. Come on Virgin bring the old girl home now!

Vegasdude - Tonty is advising you of the etiquette of this forum.

Talking in CAPS is regarded as shouting when using in posts and as such could be interpreted as rude.

I'm assuming it wasn't meant in that way?

Yes, it's just basic netiquette - and also hard on the eyes!

Neither.

It is simple courtesy and etiquette to others not to shout on a message board.

I could take your post as insulting to me but I won't.

Would be a good candidate for the first a/c to go for refit if it is coming back soon.

Why? I can understand being on a single aisle aircraft for that length of time would be hell but surely there isn't a lot of difference between a 747 and any other wide body twin aisle aircraft (apart form the upper deck). Even flying the A380 isnt that different once inside.
