I would guess it would be either to support the LGW/MAN fleet through the summer season as G-VBIG did last year.
OR
G-VBIG may be becoming the 4th VS aircraft to be re-painted.

Don't they do painting or some other maintenance in MAN? Maybe it's to get the new livery

Most likely option the Tinkerbelle has gone to Air Livery which is based at MAN for a nice coat of paint!! y) y)

Thats what i guessed as its still in the 2000 scheme and not gone anywhere since going up to MAN. Hope they have got the paint sorted now!

Also, i thought the maintenance was done in AMS or FRA?

I reckon it's probably in for painting too as the other three aircraft were all done at MAN. If this is the case then they've obviously come up with a solution to the peeling issues of the new red paint...

I'd have thought G-VXLG would have been back up there first for an engine cowling repaint!

Heavy checks are done either in AMS or MNL depending on the aircraft.

The 747's go to one and the Airbuses to the other (but can't remember which goes to AMS and which goes to MNL!)

Indeed, Air Livery at MAN have the contract for the repainting of the 744s. Not sure about the "Babybus" and "Big Bus" but maybe we shall see one of them in the new livery soon...... y) y)

Thanks
