So, in 13 years of flying virgin at least two or three times per year, I have managed seq 1 twice!

I feel this is poor .... Do we have a winner on this site?

I have never achieved SEQ 1 because until now I've not used OLCI due to small children. What is the best method to achieve it?

Never achieved Seq 1, flying to JFK later this month on a Sunday so will have no distractions ie work on the Saturday when we get to the 24 hour mark.

Twice, both times with 4 UC tickets, all consecutive seqs. LGW to ANU and the return.

What's the timing for OLCI opening? Exactly 24 hours before flight departure to the second? I realise you might not want to give away secrets of the trade!

Yes it's exactly 24 hrs before , I've never got a seq 1 myself so my trade secrets are probably not worth knowing !

Twice, both on LGW-MCO route. The first time before I realised the significance of the number. A comment by the check in agent 'I see you were the first person to check in...'. The second last week when travelling on two separate tickets. I was seq 1 and Mrs Traveller was 33.

Managed it twice in the last 4years, and once with Thomson (if that counts) last year when flying to Cape Verde. Normally get 3.4 or 5. :P
