As per the title... I was wondering if it was worth waking up for...

I seem to recall reading that there was once a full English of sorts, but don't remember experiencing it myself. Frankly I'd be more than happy with a UC style bacon roll and some juice...

Corrected that for you ;)

Airline breakfasts are, as a rule, pretty vile.

Eggs and pastries in particular don't reheat well. A good breakfast needs a grill or a frying pan, neither of which is available at 36,000 feet!

OK, I'm the first to accept that airline food is rarely a gastronomic sensation (well not a positive one anyway). But when I was making regular JFK trips in the past, I did think the UC cereal and bacon roll option, with a cup of tea and orange juice, was certainly worth waking up for on the inbound. Not that I slept much anyway...
