Did I miss a sale?

Went to book a return flight in economy from SFO - LHR. And prices were £400 and bits Leaving SFO from December 6th onwards. With a return sometime in March, but as a whole the dates were very flexible! This was on Google flights, the VS site and Delta site.
Now 2 days later I can't find anything under £600 regardless of dates! Did I miss a sale? I'm incredibly confused!
