I'm glad KSS is finally getting refitted as the J cabin especially the bar area was pretty shabby when I flew on her a few months ago.

There are only 2 old config A333's still in service now (WAG + UFO).

Currently sat in Upper on VRAY about to depart to JFK.

New interior looks good. Nice and fresh although compared to the old old cabin I can now see everyone’s heads. They have for sure dropped the height of the side of the seats.

Looking forward to this flight.

KSS flew back from XMN yesterday and is back in service.

WAG also went to XMN yesterday leaving just 1 A333 (UFO) left to be refitted now.

Hi all :) We are booked for MAN to JFK at the end of May 18, going out was UC on an A333 and return the same. This quickly changed to a 747 out and return was 1-1-1 on the A333. Now I check my flight and find out it has changed yet again and we are now on a 747 for the return. I thought the refits were all done apart from two planes? Yet they have taken the new 1-1-1 A333 from Manchester completely for our flight.
So, with this in mind, what is the 747 UC like? This is likely to be our only UC flight for a very long time. Thanks :)

It was announced earlier this year that the MAN>JFK service would switch to a 744 in 2018. It's not related to the 333 refits but more to do with VS just switching aircraft around.

The 744's are absolutely fine in Upper Class even though it's a much smaller cabin. The 744 Upper Class suites are actually the biggest/widest in the entire fleet.

Unless you get Tinkerbelle as last few times this year I flew on her there was always some issue or the other with the UC Suite. Speaking to the FSM on my return in November it’s a regular occurrence that something it many things are not working

At least the A330 russian roulette odds have become a lot more favourable throughout this process! :-D

Looks like VS have changed their minds as G-VLUV has just departed for IAD.

G-VUFO is now heading to XMN as the VS831P.

...so that's it, no more Upper Class Dream Suite

Goodbye UCDS. My first experience of UC and a classy product but when compared to Suite 3 it just couldn't last.

Do we know if the 332s will go to Xiamen after the 333s for their interior work or if thats being done in-house?

I know this is a big debate we have had many many times but I really didn’t mind the UCDS! I actually thought it made the cabin look good and I didn’t find any real issues with it.

I didn't mind the seat, although lack of power convert was a tad annoying, but the whole layout made the cabin feel very cramped. The narrow aisles made moving around in the dark tricky too.

I found the dream suite window seats where 'OK' in day / seat mode but complete and utter garbage in bed mode. Never sat in the middle section though as I always avoided that.
