Hello!

I was checking my booking this afternoon, and was surprised (to say the least) to see that one of the legs of my trip is now marked as Upper Class (previously PE).

Sure enough, the system then allowed me to do all my seat selections in UC!

I contacted the call centre and they said that the revenue team was in the booking last, but she could not see any notes as to why I was upgraded.

Has anyone else had this happen? Are they just as likely to bump me back down to PE?

Sounds deliberate rather than a glitch. Congrats! Is your flight imminent? One possibility is PE is oversold and you have been op-upped, otherwise who knows!

Just Rec'd this email, so no glitch involved...

We wish to advise that your flight on the 14th April 2017 will now be operated by our Joint Venture partner Delta Air Lines, and has been renumbered.

The flight departure and arrival times are unchanged and you can check in for your flight on-line at http://www.virginatlantic.com, or http://www.delta.com. Online check in opens 24 hours before the scheduled departure, and closes 70 minutes before the scheduled departure.

We are in the process of making this change in our systems and your updated booking can be viewed via My booking at http://www.virginatlantic.com after Monday 27th February 2017

The aircraft operated by Delta Air Lines does not have a Premium Economy cabin and as a result, we can no longer deliver this service. However, we hope you will be pleased to hear we have instead, upgraded you to Delta Air lines business class cabin called Delta One.

More information about this product can be found on Delta’s website
https://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US ... class.html
We would like to offer our sincere apologies for any inconvenience these changes may have on your travel plans. If you could make all passengers travelling in your party aware of the changes, we would be most grateful.
