got a phone call today from VA. we are flying out to mco in august. 2 adults 2 kids.
our flights is over subscribed. booked PE with miles and free upgrades with va black amex.
we've been bumped up to UC on the way out.
yeahhh!!!!!

Nice! Is it common for them to ring in advance now? I've been bumped up PE to UC twice before due to overbooking but always happened at the gate or even on the aircraft! Grateful nonetheless but think it is nicer to get some warning.

That's great news , but would you still love VA if you was booked in UC and you got downgraded to PE when you had paid in cash for the US seat
