V-Flyer

Just nosing about on flightradar and noticed yesterdays VS15 was over 2 hrs late leaving Gatwick. Was VBIG, so can only presume was a technical challenge. Finally left at 3:20pm.

Any idea what delayed it?

The inbound from vegas (VS44) was three hours late

the VS source website might have info but delays are caused by numerous issues nt just technical.

Even a non 'challenge' tech issue can take a while to fix as it is checked and the paperwork completed that says part A was replaced with B with a serial number of C carried out by person D and checked by E and pilot F

+ weather
+ delayed inbound
+ delayed crew
+ airport restrictions - both at LGW and MCO - if there is an issue at MCO they won't let it leave LGW until it's resolved
+ delayed passengers
+ problems loading bags / cargo / catering
+ passenger boards then decides to not fly so the bags have to be found etc
+ ATC
