Can anyone let me know what class of ticket I would need to pay for if I wanted to use my companion voucher in the UC cabin.

Would it also be possible to use my miles plus money to help purchase the main ticket.

The only classes that do not allow companions now are the lowest buckets. N O V K and Z.

I don't know what class MpM tickets are booked into under the new system.

It is all explained here, if you scroll down to companion seats.

The MpM system is very different now. You can apply miles to any revenue fare now, so as well as reducing the cost of the ticket, you will still earn the usual Flying Club milage (and more importantly IMHO, status i.e. tier points).

For every 3000 miles you add that reduces the fare down by £18.00. I'm not sure though if there's an maximum limit for the amount of miles you can add sorry?

I put some miles towards my Premium Economy K fare for my current New York flight. I reduced the fare by ~£100 but it's still a revenue K fare earning the K fare mileage + tier points.
