VS110 March 2018

For information I have just had an email from VS advising of a seat change for our return flight from Atlanta at the end of next March. On checking it is also an aircraft change from the regular A330 to a 747. I assume this has something to do with the upgrading of the A330s programme running late. Thankfully we currently have our seats as the reduced number of Upper class ones could be a problem.

Now only 134 days to to departure !!!

I suspect VS will look at future dates and only select flights that have a low enough number of existing J bookings when swapping the A333 for a B747.

The Atlanta flights are usually pretty busy.

Did you notice if there where many seats already selected in J before the A/C switch?

Sigh....looks like the A333 refits will be still ongoing till at least April 2018 >-(. It's frigging ridiculous how long it's taking VS to refit just 10 A333 cabins :-O

Hi James No I haven't checked recently but when I logged in this morning our's were the only 2 upper class seats showing all others appeared available. Our outbound flights at the beginning of February are still showing as an A333. I will keep checking in case they change either of them again. Not that I don't trust them !!! David

Thanks for the update. I assume the 2 are my better half and I. Will keep an eye on booking in case it changes again. David

No contact from Virgin, only discovered the change by chance via this forum and twitter. Our MAN-JFK flight in June have been swapped onto the 747 and our seats in Upper Class changed.
Went into Manage my Booking and tweaked our allocated seats.
