Cosmic Girl went to LGW on the 23/10/15 and is still their does this mean it`s going to be the next B747 to leave the fleet. ?
Yes she has flown her final VS sector
Cosmic Girl currently on her way to San Antonio over Ontario. Very sad to see a 14 year old going for scrap.
G-VROS.....
G-VROS.....
She is being advertised for sale or lease by Boeing (as is G-VROC Mustang Sally). AFAIK she was/is not being scrapped.
I was hoping that might be the case, although the vssource reckons she's off there for part out and scrap. Hopefully that's a mistake.

It has gone back to leaser bcc and currently being stored.

G-VROS.....
Boeing Capital Corporation is no longer, as of today, advertising her on its website. Either she has found a buyer (unlikely?), or the VS Source is correct. What a waste!
Mustang Sally is still being advertised as available in May 2016, so who knows what fate awaits her....

This may be a long shot, but Virgin Galactic has confirmed it is buying a Boeing 747 to use as a launch aircraft for its new LauncherOne Program.
G-VWOW (Cosmic Girl) has been re-registered as N744VG and re-certified until December 2018.
Her new registered owner shares the same New York office building as Virgin Galactic (and other Virgin US companies). Interesting....

Well it would be an interesting choice wouldn't it, and SRB likes his playful names, so I hope she keeps it.
At the end of the jetway TURN LEFT and... champagne, champagne for everyone
I think today was the first day for many years that there were no Virgin 744's leaving from LHR... How sad, things to come!
