Sounds like the Halfiax Clarity MasterCard we use. It makes such a difference not paying that non-sterling transaction charge on purchases etc and they too usually seem to calculate an exchange rate a few cents above the advertised traveller currency rate.

I thought I'd used mine the other day, but turns out I used my Halifax Visa debit card so for $25 fuel it cost me £18 plus another £2 in fees. I wish I'd used my Virgin Black and got the miles. Or I'll just make sure I take out the proper card next time!!

Just a quick update, latest dollar transactions here using the SAGA card are edging down to $1.39 or high $1.38(986). Here for another couple of weeks so if anyone's interested I will add some more data later.

I did use my Halifax Clarity yesterday for car parking in Savannah
$8 and my card has been charged £5.78 so that comes out at $1.3804 but the good news: no charges.

Just a final update, all of the latest transactions are coming through at $1.41. Time to save the currency for another trip.

They are going up a little because the ECB has cut interest rates and QE, don't know how long it will last the best rate I can see here is 1.40 tourist. We are there in just over a week (a long time in interest rates), I still have lots of dollars left from last holiday and my Lloyds Avios no fee card, so am hedging my bets and two more USA trips this year, of course all depends on the EU vote as well. We landed in Atlanta last night and used our supercard to get cash out of an atm. Did it as a bit of a test and it worked out quite well - $163 cost us £115 so an exchange rate of 1.417. Glad I didn't bother getting some before leaving now, m and s were looking like being $1.36 or so.

Plus we'll earn flying club miles as the supercard is tied to our black account.

Halifax Clarity has a 1.434 exchange rate with no FX fees. They do charge daily interest however, but I just transfer funds online from my current account to the credit card using quick pay on the same day (or in advance) and that makes it a cheap deal.

That was TravelFX - I use the Moneysavingsexpert travel money rate checker. Must have gone up more since then. Got an alert this morning to say that Travelex has gone over 1.40 and they weren't the best for delivery last time I checked.
