Do all airlines do hand baggage only fares now?
Posted: 19 May 2016, 14:16I've booked a Qatar one ex Frankfurt to Auckland around Christmas. At 1100 quid for business, it was a wonderful fare.
I'd ideally like to go from BHX, but it appears only Lufthansa goes from there. Checked other airports. BA from LHR. Lufthansa from MAN. KLM with hops, etc.
However, when I finally went to book, I realised that both BA and Lufthansa now feed their hand baggage only fares into those engines, and those are not the finishing prices. I've no idea if KLM does the same.
Does everyone now do this on shorthaul. I used to read those prices and go "right, so they are more expensive, but at least they are all in" and was surprised then...
I do wonder if Luftie do a sale for short haul very often too. And where I could find if one happens...
