Going to Sri Lanka

I fancy a trip to Sri Lanka and am looking to fly Premium Economy. Sri Lankan airways only have Economy and business class, leaving Thomson and Thomas Cook the 2 obvious choices who both do PE and fly direct. I could route via the Middle East but would want to avoid long transit times. Any suggestions as to other airlines to look at please? Ex LHR/LGW or BHM ideally. Thanks.

Hi

We're going in February. The route we picked was mainly because of miles - LHR to Muscat in Oman, on BA, then Sri Lankan from Muscat to Colombo

I can't tell you yet whether it was the right choice yet, but we managed it on miles which was our criteria. And Muscat looked fun for a stopover on the way, as it's supposed to be an interesting contrast with Dubai and Abu Dhabi

But Sri Lankan don’t do PE so you will either be down the back or in business. Interesting routing though.
