When we were in Ireland last year it was an absolute pleasure to while away an evening in the pub without coming out smelling like an ash tray. And Californian bars and restaurants are wonderful now that this noisome stench is absent. Roll on the banning of smoking in the workplace in the UK.

I agree completely [y] - Vancouver is good for this too - I hate waking up with the smell of tobacco in my hair...

Even my smoking friends agree with this viewpoint, as they would be forced to cut down on the fags.

If we are given a choice (as the government propose) then I'll be dragged 'kicking and screaming' by my smoking friends to smoking pubs.... [:(]

Thumbs up [y] from me also.

New York is another non-smoking delight, especially for the weekend with a carry on case. When you come back you don't have to wash the clothes you haven't worn as they've not been consumed by smoke from the clothes you have worn. Excellent.

Believe it or not same for me[y], and I have been known to enjoy the odd tab or two!

To be frank if I wanted to sit in a smog ridden atmosphere when drinking a beer, I would go and sit with Adam777 in Rhyl.
