First trip on little red, had fairly high expectations.

Online check in with iPhone passbook boarding card is pleasant, feels more natural to have the phone rather than carrying the paper card - was nice to see the personalised boarding cards though for little red.

Bag drop didn't open until 2 hours before the flight, which was rather annoying and is Virgin imposed - I'd rather of dropped the bag 30 minutes earlier and had breakfast. Always go a little early to Edinburgh as its a fantastic little airport with a great view of the ground operations from the terminal, never cramped, and a can do a good breakfast.

Security cleared in about 5 minutes, again can't fault the high tech approach Edinburgh take.

Down to the little red gate, seen the plane pull in. Rapid turn around, boarding was quick and the staff quickly identified we were connecting in LHR, pulled us aside and informed us of the bus at the aircraft steps in London rather than wandering through the airport - again pleasantly impressed.

Comfy seats and nice exterior to the plane. Sadly onboard the plane is under neglect, it's maybe better on the first flight of a day but on the mid flights it's dirty. The trays all had scuff marks, under the seats there was previous flight debris, the walls all looked in need of a deep clean. The purple light fitting at the front was loose and kind of gave the effect but failed to a degree.

The aircraft looks like it needs a good scrub at night, maybe even just once to bring it back up to spec but inside you can certainly tell its rapidly turned round and in no real fault of the crew/cleaning team - most of it needs a good deal longer than they have.

In flight there was two different trips of biscuits/tea and then onto crisps, sweets followed. Brilliant crew, all very happy and looking sharp. Brilliant uniform and chatty pilot.

Into LHR ahead of schedule was nice, and the flight is barely up before its down again. Music played softly in the background. Enjoyable flight.
