Having seen a pretty negative report on this route recently I felt I must share my experience from last week.
This is a Trip Report from the Upper Class cabin
Food & Drink
Clubhouse- Excellent, no sign of the fat that it will be closing shortly.
Boarding- called 35 mins before flight, small delay at gate but nothing to worry about.
On board we had 2 FSM's who both welcomed us by name. All other flight crew that we encountered were excellent also.
Taxied and took off pretty much on time.
Champagne arrived at once and was OK although they did run out shortly after take off.
UC was full although I think there were only just over 300 on board so must have been quite empty at the rear.
The crew were 100% for the entire flight and nothing was too much trouble.
Landing cards distributed to all-no shortage
I had the beef fillet which was very good and my wife had crab cake, also very good.
Cheese and port to follow
One small criticism would be that the afternoon tea was not great, seemed like a bit of an afterthought but this did not spoil our experience.
Smooth run through the airport and our luggage was already waiting (UC only)
We were in the taxi within 30 mins of landing
We are returning on the 66 on Friday 13th ( PE as no UC available) and are looking forward to a similar experience in the bubble ( 20A/C)
