Well a conservative club ciuld hardly be considered a hip place, even by Cliff Richard. But there is a more profound reason I am not a member: Because I am a member of the Communist Party.

Reds in the conservative ckub, I don't think.

However membership of the communist club is great - it's guaranteed free for life no matter how much of a loss it is making, they publish their accounts to anyone who may ask, they don't charge for beer because it would not be ethical, and they have a notice board where you can publicise how much cash you donated.
