Think of it as another myspace, but with more emphasis on the "groups" and community thing.

Sorta Paul. At the start Facebook was only for university students. No parents or outsiders at all. You had to attend a school that was a Facebook member then have a .edu address at one of those schools. Now anyone can join so it is losing it's coolness.

I must be older than Paul (Actually having done my sums I think I mean I must be a lot older than Paul) as I still don't know what one is. Each time I click on one of the links it just takes me to a screen that wants a user name and password.

Well Sailor you have to register to view Facebook. (One of the reasons I like Facebook better than MySpace). You can register by clicking here.
