I went to see this on Friday night. It's at the Cambridge Theatre.

It is a fantastic show, music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.
Visually it is stunning and doesn't rely on 'gimmicks' as such, (like flying witches!) to achieve that, but is still breathtaking.

The show just surprises and delights to the very last scene.

Incidentally, I bought the cheapest tickets - Three rows from the back in the Upper Circle and the view was amazing!!

My favourite songs from the show (bought the soundtrack!)

I saw it too last month, and while I agree it was good, I didn't think it was as good as all the hype. Worth seeing, but my children (7 and 9) were fiddling around with boredom at a couple of points when some of the lesser songs dragged on a bit. I liked the first song very much ('Miracle') and I thought Miss Trunchbull was excellent, and the stage design is certainly clever. We were near the front of the Upper Circle but off to one side, and the view there wasn't brilliant.

All in all, it was nice to see, but I wouldn't go again. And the organisation when the doors open but the theatre seating is still closed (leading to massive crowds inside the building) was disasterous.

I was entranced from start to finish!

The entry was bizarre though - all stuck in a tiny bar until they open the doors.
