I'm an SVP Sales (Sales Director for the UK folks) of a British technology company that appears American. All my customers are on the West coast of the USA, hence I use SFO, LAX and LAS routes a lot. My company makes us book our own flights, so we have choice who we fly with. I'm Virgin loyal and that has kept me FC Au for the last 7 years. :)

.....another retiree.... after 40 yrs in Local Government in Wales helping small businesses with grants and premises and market towns to survive the never ending struggle to stay alive.

As we frequently used EU funds to operate I benefitted from paid travel to Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Poland, Bulgaria, Germany & Italy .

now doing the odd contract as a Consultant whilst also running my home based business of selling French Macarons online and for weddings.

Holidays are what keep my husband and I sane. He can't retire for the next 7 years so collecting the Miles and flying off a few times a year is our 'thing'.

What's your job?

I thought I'd posted on this thread but can't see it so apologies if this is a repeat.

I am a retired police officer who, for the last ten years, has worked for the dark side.
I am a police station representative attending the police station to represent detainees.
Mrs D says I only do it because I like arguing. There is some truth in that but it also pays for the holidays.

I own a business that specialises in lighting and audio visual installation work. Based in Aberdeen I regularly fly up and down the UK every couple of weeks often spotted on an orange or purple aluminium bird. Still mourning the loss of Little Red.
Do at lot of work in the leisure and retail sector. A lot for a major US company. Lucky to get to fly for work to the Middle East now and again where I luv to visit on holiday too. Think LED video walls, sound systems and effects and architectural lighting. Best thing.... Every day is different.

Great to hear everyone's story. Amazed how many IT types we have - # VS website :-O

IT contractor working in field of IT Security, mostly operational stuff, but recently architecture of enterprise security controls. With all the recent events quite glad I'm currently in an architecture role as it seems a horrid time for friends in operations.

Also work almost next to Heathrow at current client (who are not an airline) so see many VS planes daily - the 787 is particularly wonderful when it takes off the southern direction over Feltham. Tend to stay at heathrow area hotels during week.

Tend to fly twice a year on personal travel on VS now (maybe 3 times this year if can sneak a Christmas trip away), with no chance of re-gaining gold as mostly UK based now - my previous mental travel of 9 months a year in PE/UC meant was gold for 2 years with many many VS flights.
