Hey Tony!

Hope the ski-ing was good? Looking forward to meeting you too! Not long to go now! I have sent you a PM with my mobile number just incase you cant spot us on the day, which is highly unlikely as im sure we'll stick out like a sore thumb! :D Just look out for the loud talking airplane freaks!

Thanks,
Sarah

Just a quick update,

I am staying at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel near the hotel, I am most likely arriving on EK511 at around 12:30 on Saturday.

I am up for both Ski Dubai and some shopping on Saturday, anyone up for either? I don't have a working cell phone in Dubai.

Cheers
Artur

Artur, i will have my mobile with me, will PM you the number. Feel free to call/come over when you have checked in, im sure James and I will be floating around the hotel.

James, Iain and I will be in DXB from the early morning on Saturday. I currently have no plans for Saturday, bar exploring the Burj, so am potentially up for Ski Dubai, although i am a complete novice when it comes to skiing!

Thanks,
Sarah

I was just trying to check-in for the VS400 tomorrow but it looks like OLCI is down at the moment [:?].

Spoken to Premier and they told me they have had a few calls tonight reporting the same problem. I'll try again in the morning.

Well made to the LHR Clubhouse - what can I see other than WOW :). Check-in was a nightmare, even J was at least 10 deep but the line did move pretty quickly. Y and W lines were snakeing up and down zone A [:0]. The other thing I noticed was that all my passport stamps were checked (apparently as I'm travelling to DXB). Security was not too bad, although fast-track was it's usual not-so-fast-track. I got the full monty though at MAN on my way down including having to take everything out of my bag and having everything explosive swabbed.

Just about to have some lunch here and busy exploring. CH is not too busy now several VS flights have been called.

Just waiting for the rest of the contingent now - promise I'll save some food and drink guys :D

Regards

May not apply to UK people but IIRC the UAE will not let people that have Isreal stamps and Isreal will not let people that have UAE stamps. Maybe this is why.

I dropped Sarah off at LHR about an hour ago, and J check-in was busy as their was only one agent checking in. Another arrived, but the original one is someone I have known since I started flying with Virgin, very helpful and usual high standards - apologised for the delay in an appropiate manner.

Hope you all have a good flight and time in DXB. Though I think mitchja will actually spend more time in the LHR Ch than in DXB :D

Thanks,
Richard

Hello guys!

At the LHR CH with James, Iain, Irina & baby Daniel!

Champagne and munchies in full flow and we are all very much looing forward to the flight! Phase II is fab! Cannot wait to see it properly again in 11 days time! Full TR to follow tomorrow!

I got called to the front desk in the CH to ask if i wanted to swap my seat with Lucy Benjamin (ex-eastenders fame) Err ... let me think about that! LOL

Have fun all you guys in our absence, see you all soon

Richard ... love you lots xxx

Thanks,
Sarah

That is a bit cheeky of VS to ask a VS FC Au to change seats so that a 'zelebrity' can sit in it. Goodness sake! Don't forget to take M&M's.

Thanks,
Richard

How are the loos in the CH - presume you've all imbibed enough to have to try them out once or twice...
