How's the running going, Ben? I fear we may be up for a walk, rather than a run...

Tonight's "training session" began with Phil falling asleep, so unable to make it. Finished with me collapsing after just 3 miles of flat road nd even that was with The Proclaimers on my nano to keep me going.. (Still, better than the 2.5 I managed last week).

I fear this could be one bite that's quite difficult to chew... [:I]

Running in going well Paul. Do my daily 5K (3.1 miles) now mostly outside as the weather is much better. I go to the gym to increase my upper body mass. On Saturdays I normally go a bit longer.

Anycase, the streets will be lined with well over 50,000 people cheering for us!

Glad to hear and look forward to seeing you in SF.

Be careful training. On my run today on my normal route to my surprise MS 13 was spray painted all over private fences and sidewalks.[:0] They are based in LA so why are they in silly Murfreesboro?

Stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid.

So - Ben and I are sat in the Hilton, awake since 5am, to go running at 8 from the Bay Bridge to the Pacific Ocean.

Only two issues:

1) I can't run that far.
2) It's p***ing down with rain and forecast to all day...

If it is any consolation, Paul
It is p1ssing it down here, as well. [:(!]

Ok

1. Run the start walk the middle and run the last 500 yards.
2. It's pissing it down here as well.

Hmm. Tried - but no. No consolation: I have my car in England!

Anyway, Ben says we're going. [:I]

1. It's warm & dry inside
2. It's cold & pissing it down outside
3. My chair is nice & comfortable
4. I have no intention of moving my big fat lazy arse for the entire afternoon & evening
5. Hope this helps ;)

Cheers

I'll be a good but chilly race. Hopefully the stupid rain will hold off. Maybe going to the Cheesecake Factory for diner yesterday was a bad idea......but the Nutter Butter Peanutbutter cheesecake kicked arse. :)

Well watch for Paul and I on the news tonight/tomorrow as we break the 12K world record....right. :)

More likely to be "Young thrillseeker airlifted to medical center"...

The is correct. Paul is to young to consume beer according to the bar keep.

Well both of us finish with a good time of 1h17m49s. Pretty big turn out and livey crowd. So, who is up for next year? :)

I can't move from my computer. My fingers are one of the only parts of my body that still work.

50,000 people and a few naked ugly old men do kind of keep you running. (That and some young upstart who insisted on running 3 feet in front of me the whole time to "keep me going"...)

Paul... If you ache now.... wait till tomorrow. [}:)][}:)]

Yeah - I'm concerned about that too. I'm supposed to be cloud jumping tomorrow and you kind of need legs to land!

Oh, and a warning to everyone for next year. At 2.5 miles, the route goes up Hayes Hill - 275ft climb. NOT good.

Having said that, it's a fantastic atmosphere through the whole city [y]

Oddly, no nude females....

Ahhh, it was just a walk in the park [:p]

Thanks everyone for the kind words [y] and consider it next year.
