Strangely enough, I don't think there is a curry house or kebab shop nearby - I do remember us being sat in the bar, hungry, at stupid o'clock last year, and Phil sending for the fried chicken :D

Cheers

Michael

I did a Google search on the hotel post code for a curry house and a kebab shop, and the it seems there is a curry house 0.3 miles away and kebab house 0.7 miles away :D I'll check out in a bit more detail and I also have a good friend who regularly goes for curries in Windsor, so I am certain we can sort something. Hey, eating after a night out is like eating whilst standing at the fridge with the door open, isn't it i.e. the calories don't count?!! ;)

Would recommend Maliks for the curry... not the one closest!!!

Your second link also shows the curry locations ;) think you meant this one :) I can't advise, not having tried any of them.

OK, out of respect for the dearly departed, we HAVE to eat at Malik's own curry house! I wonder if they do a special - A MALIKIFX? [:p][:0]

I am very happy to go to malik's, but can you just let me know if it is a UK or a Nigerian registered business?

Doesn't matter where it's registered - it's how it's painted that counts... [:w]

The hotel is quite small and they don't normally keep the bar open late unless there is a party going on. Ordinarily they rely on the Night Porter to serve drinks after normal hours from a small fridge (limited selection).

I have made arrangements for the bar to be open for us when we get back from the cruise, if we don't show, they will close the bar!

I would vote for getting a carry out sent in (or picked up by cab) if we want one. Also if the state of people after the cruise is anything like the past two years (myself included) I don't think it would be wise to go to a restaurant where we might engage with normal people. ;)

Surely somebody must know someone with a kebab van they can rock up in outside??? They'd get a huge trade off us, be well worth it! Bring on the chilli sauce!

I am afraid it is unlikely that I will be with you all at this do. I am really disappointed at this, but I have picked up a contract which is likely to reqire me to be in Al Ain at the time. I will of course raise a glass to your health.

What a bummer, I was really looking forward to meeting you all.
