What is pleasing me is that Virgin America obviously accepts credit cards from out of town - unlike some of the US majors [^]

You not flying over to SFO on the Friday, Iain? Only 1 night in San Francisco?

Envious of Surrey is as sick as a parrot[:$]

I really will miss the fun, but will take solace in seeing good friends become more and more excited about the jaunt :D:D:D.

I will continue to look forward to reading the posts as the departures draw nearer

I am having some difficulties with staff cover arrangements at present so am having to hold off booking the outbound leg and the internal LAS-SFO leg - still have the "G" on the 'party bus' secured though! ;)

Am sat across from you, Pete. So please behave. Probably come to Vegas Thursday eve (might this be the dinner night?), fly to SF on VX on Friday, return to Memphis on Sunday.

I've finally stopped procrastinating and booked my hotel in Vegas - we're staying at the Wynn for the week. Booked it via http://www.virginatlantic.com in the end, as they give 1 flying club mile per £1, and using the VS Amex card, there's even more bonus miles.

Is it not 2 miles per £ spent on Hotels? And is it double miles on the Amex as you're spending direct with VS?

For those going to LAS from the north of England, bmi has a great fare sale right now.

Booked through Travelocity, a direct flight in "the business" - onboard chef, etc ;) is £1087 including all taxes, fees, surcharges for departures throughout November.

For those not that keen on paying the extra £4,000 to fly VS, it looks like a good deal... [:w]

Having just cleared it with the domestic authorities I am making a surprise late move to come along on the trip!

Can only manage to get away for a few days so will be flying on the 023 to LAX on Fri 16th then up to SFO on Sun 18th (sitting next to iforres1 on the VX764) and have been allocated seat 5K on the 020 on Mon 19th.

Still a few details like how I'm getting from LA to Vegas and where I'll stay etc but I'm coming along all the same!!

See you soon,
John

Can't wait now!!

That's great news John - now get yourself a seat in the "A" zone on the 20 instead of that 5K thingy on the upper deck and join the party! ;)

I should add a traditional list to the first post in this thread. I'll add mine, then any attendees let me know your travel plans by PM or in this thread.

Just read bazz'z review of the Mark Hopkins in SFO. This is probably where I will stay along with JAT74L for our one night stop in SFO before the party flight home. Rates are very reasonable as well.
John also had a free mini bar in his room:D
